Cat bed to snap on top of your gaming PC
Introducing the PC Loaf cat bed
(And Latte, our model and user testing manager)

The PC Loaf magnetically snaps to the top of your computer tower to allow ventilation while giving your furry companion a heated throne close by. Never have to chase your cat off your PC because of choked airflow again~
Other perks include giving your desktop cat ears, keeping the power button from being stepped on, providing chin scratches from the pointy bits, and making it harder for cat hair to fall into the computer.
How does it work?
The PC loaf creates a safe, solid resting spot for your cat without blocking the PC’s top exhaust by creating a path for warm air to escape out the sides of the cat bed.
At the same time, the warm air from the PC heats up the cat bed to a comfortable temperature, keeping your cat glued during the colder months. Your cat gets a cozy perch, and your PC keeps breathing normally.

Thermals
The PC Loaf hovers comfortably and evenly between ambient and 50 degrees, depending on the thermal output of the PC. Watch the video shot in infrared of the bed heating up!
PS. The video to the left is on 3X speed
We’ve also run some tests on PC performance. See the results here
Magnetic Attachment
The PC Loaf snaps onto the top of computer cases with a satisfying thud and a strong frictional lock with your PC. The bed is going nowhere if a cat lands a kick in the wrong direction.
Garage testing shows that the cat bed does not flinch with a 7KG cat jumping on and off, with over 2.4KG of shear strength against the PC.
This means easy installation by the human, and hard demolition by Cat!

Compatibility

Compatibility
To use the PC Loafer to its full potential, you need a flat, ferrous top surface on top of your PC that is bigger than the bottom profile of the PC Loafer. You will need to take some measurements based on the diagram to the left. To make sure the cat bed is sturdy, make sure that at lease 50% of the magnetic area is touching your computer case on both sides.
Every PC Loaf package will also come with tape to mount to non-ferrous surfaces.
I do not have a tested list of cases (Sorry!), so it is really up to you to figure it out. If you need a return due to the case not being compatible, you might need to fork out for international shipping…
Some other considerations are:
– Are there removable mesh on top of the case? The mesh might make the magnetic attachment too weak.
– Is there a suitable path for the cat to get onto the PC? While the loafer is sturdy, other items on your desk (including your PC!) might not be.
– If your cat likes playing with cables, you may need to get extra protection for them.
– Buttons that your cat can’t press, you probably can’t press either!
The colours
Two colour selections are available so far. Black and Walnut, and White and Oak. Our design takes a solid sheet of 1.5mm Aluminium sheet and folds it the conductive and strong bed shape. CNC hardwood pieces are then attached with brass fittings to support the full weight of the cat, and give the bed a friendly contour
Why Kickstarter?
Manufacturing on a small scale if very expensive. Each prototype you seen on the website cost more than $350 to build in parts alone. It is only possible to bring the unit cost to a reasonable price at production volumes of 1000 or more. Kickstarter allows you, the purchaser, to only pay for the product if I receive enough orders to take on a production run. If the project can’t go ahead, you can then be refunded in full!
